The Plough

A TRUE GEM...What a delightful pub, warm, welcoming atmosphere, friendly bar staff, locals were very chatty, Dog friendly and the entire pub was polished clean to a very high standard. There is an ample spaced carpark, we loved the beer garden as it had shade for the dogs. The drinks were served at perfect temperature, in sparkling clean glasses, the bar Man was very hospitable, the toilets were sparkling clean, We will be returning to sample the food. I cannot comment on the rooms as this was just a rest bite from the drive so We weren't privy to that . Overall rating is 10/10.

Brilliant atmosphere in a beautiful proper pub, people either want something like this or a slug and lettuce type bar…. I’d choose the plough any day of the week, lovely beer lovely food and a right laugh, staff amazing

Stopped for food. Good menu, promising start. We arrived shortly after 6pm. There was only one young lad on duty. He serving at the bar, taking food orders, serving food and trying to tidy the bar. Definitely needed help. However he was polite and unflustered. The food was promt and nice. However the whole experience was totally ruined by the gaggle of unruly children running around the pub shouting and throwing things while their parents were busy socialising. It seemed that they were know to the barman which made it impossible. Everyone that ate left promptly after including us. Would not return.
