We had always visited the Plume for special occasions and so when it came to planning our wedding reception we couldn't think of anywhere better. We had a small gathering of about 40 people and Nick was so kind to give us the back restaurant and the courtyard. We chose canapés and small bowls and it was all incredible. Dietary requirements were handled brilliantly and there was plenty of food. The team looked after us so well and were fabulous at making cocktails! All our guests said this is how a wedding reception should be done and we couldn't agree more!! Thank you! Hannah and Luke

Really lovely place for a nice dinner. Service spot on. Food nice and plenty of interesting Italian tapas dishes. The portions were larger than we had expected. Star of the show was the asparagus dish, so tasty. Great location just by the Abbey. Recommended

Italian Tapas – What a pleasant surprise! I’d never had Italian tapas before, so this was a unique and delightful experience for me. I love Italian food, and the small portions are perfect for those who enjoy trying a variety of dishes without getting too full. Location: Right across from Sherborne Abbey. If you sit by the window facing the street, you’ll have a lovely view of the Abbey while you dine. Food: Absolutely delicious overall! We ordered the Wild Garlic Gnocchi (highly recommended), the Meatballs (you can choose with or without spaghetti), and the Green Salad with lemon dressing—which my husband enjoyed so much he ordered it twice! The only disappointment was the Seafood Ragu. I couldn’t find any noticeable seafood in the dish, and it just tasted like plain pasta with tomato sauce. At £11, it didn’t feel worth the price. Service: Very friendly and helpful. If it’s your first time, the staff will explain how the ordering process works, which is a nice touch. Overall: We were very happy with both the food and the service, and would definitely come back to try more dishes!
