The Porter Portland Curio Collection by Hilton

This place was nice. Classy yet fun. Upbeat with modern twist. The rooftop bar is a modern-professional good time. The bartender made great drinks and the food was also good. They have a late night menu, after traveling all day with flying half way across the country and 8 hours of driving I got to the hotel around 10 excited food was served until 10:30. The menu had like 5 items and I had to resort to chicken tenders. They were good, but you’re a hotel in a large city with international airport and conferences etc. You’re losing money and losing customer satisfaction in this area for sure. Also the rooftop lounge is nice, but last call 10:30 sharp and have to be gone by 11. When you’re drinking, talking, eating, traveling, working etc. defeats the purpose of having that nice lounge then no food options after 10 and closing it by 11. You had probably 30+ guest on a Wednesday night. Tons of lost revenue.

What a lovely stay. From the second we arrived, the entire team made us feel welcome, and although we only planned to stay one night, we ended up extending our stay so we could explore the city some more. There were garages to park in nearby and valet was something like $69 or so. We loved their pool and hot tub. The room was nice although I wish the bathroom had a fan. No complaints really. We’d definitely be back. Also, big shout out to Donald, the lead valet manager. He really made us feel welcome 🙏

The hotel was very nice & clean. My room was cute and quiet. There was a refrigerator in it, but no microwave. The staff was very nice & helpful as well. I came for a conference and Vinita at the front desk was amazing. There was a large number of us flying in for this conference and we were early so our rooms weren’t ready yet. Vinita handled the situation with calmness & grace. She checked in our belongings and even when we had to come back multiple times because we had forgot something, she was still very kind and patient. She also assisted me with downloading my app for my Hilton Rewards so I could check in via my app since I was a rewards member. I truly appreciate her kindness and assistance with the checking in & out process. Thank you Vinita! The rooftop bar was an amazing view & vibe too! The pool & the ambiance by the fire pit are also very beautiful, but unfortunately the pool doesn’t open until 9 am so I wasn’t able to get in a workout in the pool before I started my day. However they said the fitness center is open 24 hrs , but I prefer the pool because of my knees. Overall, this was a great experience. Thank you Porter hotel for making this a pleasant & memorable trip!
