Hotels were very luxurious looking with decent space. Washroom was nice. One thing to note was that our fridge has a freon leak so it smelled like ammonia. I promptly asked for a room change and the reception was prompt in addressing our concerns. Location was walking distance to the WW2 bunker, the arch and other tourist locations
When you buy and pay for a room for three , you expect amenities for three. We got to the room and there were only two of everything. Only two mugs two coffee sachets etc. we were exhausted after a day of travel but it wasn’t a a big deal so we asked nicely for the items. We then went out and came back and the items were not there. I had to ask again and by this time my dad who has dementia wanted to sleep but we had to wait up for the items. Then we went to the gym and the water was empty so we had to pay for water from vending machine. Finally we went to go out for the day and the hotel had run out of umbrellas so then we are walking in the rain for 45 minutes trying to find somewhere to buy them because the hotel said they don’t have enough. It’s just not good enough for a four star hotel that says they provide these amenities and frustrating to arrive and have to ask repeatedly for what we paid for. Finally the fridge doesn’t work it keeps the food warm and not cold and we reported this but they didn’t care; all our food spoiled; they didn’t replace the coffee and tea bags each day; and s despite booking for three adults a ‘premium’ triple room the bed for me was a child size cot. Awful experience
There’s bad reviews on here from weeks ago now about the aircon not working and it still isn’t. Far too hot and we were given a small heater to use as a ‘fan’ which pushed almost no air around. Lovely air conditioned foyer makes you think you’re in a modern hotel but it seems the rest of it is not modern at all. It’s a shame as the location is great it just seems like they are not delivering the service or facilities they should be
