I had an impressive stay at the Prince George Hotel. My executive suite was very spacious, relatively updated, had a great spa-like bathroom and was very clean. The suite views were also impressive, considering that I was only on the 4th floor. The hotel's front desk team were friendly, professional and attentive, Paige was particularly friendly and helpful with my stay. The hotel is quint yet charming, has all the conveniences that one would want with a great central location to everything within easy walking distance...so many great restaurants and amazing cafes nearby! Breakfast was also impressive, fresh and had a bountiful selection. Service was also excellent and attentive. The bar and outdoor terrace was also nice, great drinks and snacks (service was friendly yet pretty slow). Some of the lobby furniture needs updating, elevators were slow, pool and hallways really needs updating, as they were showing their age (room hallways — are badly dated and smelled musty). The hotel also really needs to add a doorman (especially during busy seasons), and key access to the room floors for guests privacy/security! The hotel also backs onto a very busy "party" street, so be sure to know that rooms facing that side of the hotel can get pretty loud with street / pedestrian noises late into the night. Otherwise, I had a terrific, pretty much flawless stay that exceeded my expectations.
What a lovely surprise! We were honestly touched by the effort that Sara and the front desk team put in to make our anniversary stay extra special. It really meant a lot to us. Upon arrival, we were welcomed with a handwritten letter, a chocolate bar, and complimentary drinks—such a thoughtful and personal gesture that truly made our day. In this fast-paced world, it’s not often that you come across this level of care and attention. It’s rare to experience such a personal touch, and it didn’t go unnoticed. We deeply appreciated it. I’m so glad I chose this hotel for our 3-day getaway. The facilities were excellent. I especially enjoyed the pool area, which included a Jacuzzi and a hot sauna—perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring the city. The gym was also well-equipped and clean, which was a pleasant surprise for a hotel fitness centre. One of our favourite spots was the outdoor patio—it had a really nice vibe and was a great place to sit back and enjoy a drink. Speaking of drinks, kudos to the bartender who served us at the bar. The cocktails were well made, and the service was friendly and efficient. It’s those small moments of good service that really add up and make a stay memorable. Another big plus is the hotel’s location. It’s very strategically placed, especially for anyone visiting on holiday. We found it super convenient to walk to all the main attractions, restaurants, and shops. Everything we needed was just a short distance away, which made our trip so much more enjoyable and hassle-free. Overall, our stay was everything we hoped for and more. From the heartfelt welcome to the top-notch amenities and excellent location, we couldn’t have asked for a better place to celebrate our anniversary. Thank you to the entire team for making our experience so special—we’ll definitely be back!
Great hotel and staff. The location is perfect, walk to the waterfront, ferry to Dartmouth, botanical gardens, parks, everything. The front desk was very helpful with suggestions and ideas. Our room was nice, maybe slightly dated but no complaints. It was clean and well kept. The hallways were the only areas that felt dated, old wallpaper and wear. Parking was convenient and ample. Our medium sized pickup fit fine but not sure a larger truck or van with a cap would fit. Overall a really nice experience.
