Impeccable Hotel with the most amazing staff all around. Here to serve you from the moment you enter the property. As Marriott titanium members, we have travelled to many places and this is the best stay we have had. Room was spacious with many additional little comforts and amenities. Club lounge access provides an amazing breakfast spread with broad variety of western foods and also local cuisine. Afternoons offer tea and basic snacks and evening has beer/ wine/ whisky with some snacks as well. Location is right across the street from the subway line and will take you right to Kyoto main station. Trails from the hotel grounds offer access to a serene nature reserve for a quiet walk or jog and also over to nearby restaurants. If you want to be in some solitude and in a high end place, this is a great place to book. In contrast- if you desire to be in the thick of the action and a more happening neighbourhood; you are better off finding something closer to the party/ action. Reviews on here bashing the location are biased and inaccurate from our experience. Highly recommend!

Very serene and quiet location. The room was spacious and well equipped. Very convenient to the conference centre. I spent alot of times walking the parks nearby and highly recommend. In the park I saw deer. All manner of birds, turtles and carp and had some wonderful hikes

I LOVE Marriott in the states but was significantly disappointed with this stay in Kyoto. The pictures of the rooms were a lie! They definitely used filters and AI to enhance the photos. In order to get your room serviced, you have to remember to place a specific tag on your door or else they do not service. The executive lounge was a joke. They served chicken nuggets as one of the only 3 "main dishes" that looked exactly like McDonald's; the other item was a ham salad.... to top it off, they were cold. When checking out, they did not even ask how our stay was which is not surprising as I'm sure they have many dissatisfied customers. Stay at the Hilton hotel in town instead.
