We stayed at The Pyramid at Grand Oasis in Cancun with our family, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! The hotel was spotless and beautifully maintained, with a spacious, comfortable room and an amazing view. The staff were always welcoming, friendly, and ready to help with anything we needed. The food and restaurant selection were excellent — delicious and varied enough for everyone to find something they loved. The beach area was stunning and well-kept, and the pools were clean and perfect for both kids and adults. Our children loved the entertainment and activities, while we enjoyed relaxing and soaking up the beautiful surroundings. Highly recommended for both family vacations and romantic getaways. 💙

We had a wonderful experience at the pyramid! There are a few things that could stand attention that would’ve earned five stars from me. Pros: I loved that there were so many options for dining to choose from and restaurant staff was wonderful. The pool was fantastic. My room was fantastic. I liked that there were casual eating options near the pool. Could be better: The resort has two names - Pyramid and Grand Oasis - which is very confusing both when trying to plan the trip and even when there some people could use some restaurants and others could not depending on which part of the resort you stayed in. Some of the restaurants really need an upgrade as they feel dated in comparison with some of the others that are very fancy. This is the only resort I’ve stayed in that does not have servers walking around the pool taking drink orders. It was a minor inconvenience, but something I really like at other resorts. Cons The check-in process was horrible. The check-in desk area is very old and dated and the staff could care less about me. It made a terrible first impression and I immediately wondered if I picked the wrong resort. While we were able to use the facilities until our room was ready, they non-English speaking staff could not tell me where to go or help me at all figure out what to do first. My room key didn’t work and I had to go back three times. The beach is terrible. It was eroded and uncapped. The furniture was broken and in terrible shape. While there was an unavoidable seaweed problem when I walked either direction, the other resorts looked fine and this resort didn’t try at all. There was an obnoxious group of teens at “Orange Week” and while they stayed largely confined to one side of the resort that compromised our ability and desire to take advantage of all things at that resort. I hope never to travel anywhere when that group is holding the weeklong party and suggest anyone traveling in late June to check the website to make sure “Orange Week” is not at their hotel.

Worst Experience Ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! July 2025 Worst experience ever. First of all we booked this hotel with transportation to pick up my family from the airport to the hotel, but nobody showed up for about more than 1 hour and I had to take a taxi to the hotel and to pay out of my pocket which was an inconvenience and not a great start to my vacation. Once we did the check-in in the hotel, the receptionist gave us the bracelet without explaining anything such as where to go for pools, beach, eligible restaurants, and shows which leads us to ask other guests to know where to go within the hotel. The safe in all the rooms are not a digital and to close it you need to rent a lock from the hotel with extra charge of the 10 USD per day which was a hidden charge that was unexpected since other resorts offer the safe with the room with no extra charge. Also, the quality and variety of food were horrible. If you think to go to the washroom in the main floor I advise you don’t go there. There is a very bad smell in all the public washrooms for both the male and female washrooms .The air conditioning is not working well in my room. Moreover, there are lots of areas that have no air conditioning and sometimes you have to walk from one place to another walking through these unconditioned areas. Also, I felt harassed by the entire staff requesting excessive tips and if you did not tip they look at you in a horrible manner. Overall, this was not a great experience given the fact I went to Mexico before and I had the best experience there as well. The hotel needs to hire people that respect and dignify all their guests.
