The Pytchley Inn

Came down for breakfast with the family, left stuffed and satisfied. Ordered the avocado and eggs on sourdough and was so good I forgot to take a picture until I had started eating. Eggs were perfectly poached, very generous serving of avocado and sourdough for only £9. Ordered a side of bacon which was thick cut butchers bacon, lightly smoked and salty to cut through the egg and avocado. Everyone cleared their plates, service was excellent, attentive and friendly. Thank you to everyone who served us, couldn’t fault the Pytchley for breakfast!

Wonderful hotel. Great staff, great food, great location. The only thing which stopped this from being 5 stars was the shower in the bathroom - the pressure was so low that I needed to kneel down to use it. Don't let this take away from the overall picture though - the staff could not have been friendly, nicer or more helpful. The food was very good - home cooked, not ready-made, the beer garden was nice too. Would definitely stay again.

I went for lunch today with a group of friends. There were nine of us in total . Two of the ladies were over ninety.The food was fine and the waitresses were very pleasant but the time that we had to wait for our first course was unacceptable. We had booked in for 12.30 and it was 1 45 before we received our first course. The restaurant wasn’t full and most of us had ordered from the lunch menu so there was nothing complicated.Maybe you were under staffed today but unfortunately we won’t be visiting again. Val Jones
