Absolutely everything about this hotel deserves a full 5 stars! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by how well-maintained and thoughtfully designed everything was. The rooms were incredibly clean, spacious, and cozy, with such a comfortable vibe that it felt like a home away from home. The view from the room was stunning, especially in the early mornings and evenings, making the entire stay feel peaceful and scenic. One of the small but really lovely things was the housekeeping service. They cleaned the room while we were out exploring, and coming back to a neat, fresh room with refilled water bottles and perfectly arranged tea and coffee sachets felt so thoughtful. It’s these little touches that make a big difference. The breakfast spread was honestly amazing - fresh, tasty, and with something for everyone. The staff was warm, polite, and always ready to help with a smile. You can tell they genuinely care about the guests. And the location? So convenient. Everything we needed - food, markets, and local spots - was just around the corner. This place really made our trip special. Can’t recommend it enough!
A really excellent 3 star hotel with a great location near Chinatown. Was a bit worried with some of the other recent reviews, and whilst the rooms are a bit shabby, they’re clean and comfortable. The photos make it look like a 5 star hotel, and this is a bit misleading, but ultimately you get what you pay for and the price for a stay here is good value. Above all else, we felt the staff were extremely helpful and friendly, the breakfast was exemplary and the pool a really nice feature to have. Finally, only one elevator was out of action during our stay and this did not inconvenience us at all.
We arrived about two hours before the official check-in time and asked if there was a room available. The front desk confirmed that there was—but oddly insisted that we leave them a review before they would allow us to check in. That request was quite absurd to us, as it’s unreasonable to review a stay before it even begins. Naturally, we declined. The room itself was old and looked a bit tired, but to be fair, it was clean. The pillows were extremely soft—clearly overused—but after requesting replacements on the second day, we were given some newer ones which were slightly better. Breakfast was nothing to shout about—just the basics. You’d likely find tastier and more satisfying options just around the corner. The air-conditioner is positioned in a way that blows directly at your head while sleeping, which made it quite uncomfortable. The shower was decent, and we appreciated that the housekeeping staff, especially the floor cleaner, were polite and courteous. Overall, it was an average stay with a few strange policies and outdated facilities. Some aspects could be improved with a bit more thought and hospitality.
