The Quarter Silom by UHG

A really good hotel at a good price in a handy location with a great gym. Nice pool for a cool off dip. Very good value room service (not amazing food, but good and very good prices for hotel room service - handy for when we were tired one night). Good friendly service. We got a basic room on a high floor. Nice view. Quiet except when neighbours entering their room (no worse than other hotels). I would stay here again. It’s not 5 star but it’s really nice, and we didn’t pay a 5 star price - so it was perfect.

I would like to recommend- wholeheartedly - the Quarter Silom Hotel. The value provided for the price range is an absolute winner. I’m not going to talk about the how well maintained the hotel is or its super attractive location but rather on the personal experience I had. I must admit that at first as I checked in I was not pleased with the room, afterwards it became apparent to me that I was the one at fault as I did not book the room I thought I did. As a typical “farang” I complained and was upset (about my own mistake). Nonetheless, with the well know. Thai mental quiet and inner peace, the hotel staff replaced my room to an upgraded one, all done pleasantly in a problem-solving way. Sometimes westerners deem themselves as the civilized ones. Oblivious is bliss.

Stayed last minute for just one night. What I liked: Modern and clean room, good AC, big TV(did not use), very good location, night was quiet and I had a good night sleep. The mattress was more on the former side. The hotel had a very good gym and the pool looked good as well. Close to metro, restaurants, lupini park... What I did not like: Lots of sketchy people in the area in the evening offering "special massage", so I may not recommend the area for families etc.
