Amazing experience last night at this hotel for our wedding anniversary. Such a beautiful place, decor and architecture of the building is amazing. Couldn’t stop looking at it. Staff were exceptional. So kind and attentive. They left us a lovely gift for our anniversary. So kind . Will definitely be back. Thank you for making our stay perfect 😍 xx
A lovely overnight stay thankyou. Extremely close to the city centre and transport links. Room was very nice and the reception staff were very friendly and helpful. Fine breakfast but our initial greeter did not indicate that there were extras we could have ordered and seemed dismissive overall. I think he was irritated that we were waiting for him to open. The other waiters were excellent.
The hotel building is very beautiful; however, it’s a shame that the interior maintenance does not do justice to its 1920s architecture. The cleanliness was far from ideal—we had to change rooms three times before finding one that was suitable. ( The staff were accommodating though. Accessing the hotel by car is challenging if you want to drop off luggage, as the street entrance is closed. It was impossible to get the gate open; the hotel must make a special request to the council, who were extremely rigid and unhelpful.
