The Red Lion

Went on a Saturday evening for a birthday, everything was superb! Staff were lovely and the service was great. Two of us had the steak and ale pie, that was amazing, sirloin steak...again perfect and one fish platter...spot on. We were served by Claire and were well looked after. Definitely recommend it!

We received a warm welcome from the team at The Red Lion. We were booked in for the Wine, Dine and Duvet at £120 which was incredible value as it also included breakfast! Our room was spotless, very nicely presented and very comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff. Overall the pub interior, the outside area and the dining room were very clean and very well presented decor. The dales are on the doorstep and we were given a map of local walks which was really helpful. A fantastic place to stay, would highly recommended!

We stayed here as a friend had recommended it and it was an add on to the 3 days we had spent in Manchester. It was originally a pub that we used to visit when we lived in Bolton. I cannot fault the hotel for food and drink, although understandable I was surprised that last orders was 10.00, perhaps different at weekends 🤔. The bedroom whilst clean and had everything you needed I felt that I felt it was a little tired. Our bed was comfortable but the mattress creaked dreadfully when sitting on it to get in and out of it. Having said all this the overall experience at the hotel was so good I have booked here again in October instead of the Holiday Inn, Bolton that I normally stay at when come to visit family
