Attended a conference dinner here and really enjoyed the experience. The venue is charming, with a beautiful garden and a cosy cottage feel both inside and out. The service was excellent. A lovely setting for a relaxed yet refined evening.
A group of ours went to this stunning village and pub Sunday afternoon. Staff were so friendly and helpful. The bar man/ manager very pleasant and handsome. So of our group ate here and loved the food. Thank you Red Lion.
I visited last week around 5:30pm. The pub/restaurant was very quiet at the time. I bought a beer and took a seat, planning to order some food and another drink. When I asked for a food menu, I was told they couldn’t fit me in because they were “too busy”—despite the place being almost empty and me being on my own. Very poor customer service. If it were my pub, I would have made the effort to accommodate someone, even if it meant seating them in the empty beer garden or inside where there were clearly available tables.
