The Reef Island Resort Mactan Cebu

The Reef Island resort is first class! All the staff, from concierge, to cleaners, to admin, to kitchen staff are all extremely polite, helpful and warm. They all go out of their way to ensure all your needs are met. We stayed for a week and the staff took the time to remember our names and remember our coffee orders. Even the manager chatted with us during breakfast. They also charged my wife’s device when she forgot hers. Our room was cleaned every day and made our stay so clean and relaxing. The space is also very clean, with multiple restaurants to chose from. It was great to stay somewhere that made everything, with no need to leave if you didn’t want to. This was our second time here for a family vacation, and still, it did not disappoint. This resort has luxurious accommodations, exceptional and incomparable customer service, and top-notch amenities. Also, we super love their food at the Kitchen and The Bakery. Our son had so much fun in their Kids Club and their staff was also very kind and full of energy. Our view from the balcony in our room was truly a paradise, whether during the day or night time. Watching the sunrise from the balcony was one of the highlights of our stay. We love everything about this resort, from room types, customer service, premium amenities and facilities, plus breathtaking views of the pool and beach. We spent most of our time in the beach, it was clean and refreshing. It's definitely one of the best hotels we've ever been privileged enough to stay at. Thank you The Reef Island Resort! It was exactly the kind of family getaway we needed, a relaxing break from the everyday rush. We can’t wait to come back here again.

The hotel has a beautiful exterior, and the private beach experience was excellent. Staff generally appeared friendly, which left a good first impression. Unfortunately, the overall stay was disappointing. The bathroom door in my room was broken, and instead of promptly changing the room, the front desk insisted on inspecting and attempting to repair it first. This left me waiting for 40 minutes after a long day, with no apology offered. The room itself also lacked attention to detail, and the facilities felt outdated. Food quality was average at best — so much so that on the second night, I chose to order via Grab instead of dining at the hotel.
