We had a great experience at the Reefs. They just redid their outdoor deck and the views are beautiful. We also loved the beach BBQ they have on Thursday nights, it was a lot of fun and the food was great. You can borrow snorkeling gear and swim in the perfect alcove to see some fish. Every staff member was so polite and accommodating. Definitely want to return.

The Reefs is in the perfect location. Large private beach and small but adequate pool with great views of the ocean. The resort is clean and the staff is friendly. The food and service at the Solaris restaurant on property was also very good. There was a mismatch in expectations. I was expecting a lot more in terms of services and amenities, especially at $800 a night. There was no pool side service .. you could however use a hidden phone by the pool and call for someone to bring you something from Coconuts. Many of the umbrellas at the beach were missing pins so the umbrellas wouldn’t stay open. On the day of the beach BBQ, lounge chairs and umbrellas were taken away at 4 pm and tables and chairs were being set up right on top of where guests were lounging. If you are looking for a place to stay on the beach, great views and a good onsite restaurant, then you will enjoy The Reefs. If you are looking for higher-end amenities then you might want to look elsewhere. Bottom line is hotel has great views and convenience of a pink sand beach, but a bit expensive for what you get. But maybe that’s all of Bermuda.

My girlfriend and I stayed at The Reefs Hotel in Bermuda from Friday, August 1st to Sunday August 3rd for a quick 2-night getaway from our hectic lives. While we were looking forward to a relaxing and romantic escape—and had paid extra for a cliffside room—the experience overall fell short of expectations. The room itself was decent and had a lovely view, but several aspects of the property were underwhelming. The private beach, which was one of the main reasons we booked this hotel, was covered in seaweed and not maintained. While we understand that seaweed is a natural occurrence, the hotel should invest in equipment—such as netting or beach-cleaning machines—to address this issue promptly for guests. The pool was surprisingly small, more like a plunge pool than one you’d expect at a resort of this caliber. Drinks at the beach bar were overpriced and, unfortunately, not well made, which further took away from the relaxation factor. That said, the highlight of our stay was the romantic dinner on the beach. Dining with our feet in the sand created a memorable atmosphere, and while the food was just okay, the setting made it a standout experience. Overall, The Reefs has potential, but it needs improvements in service, beach maintenance, and value for the price to truly deliver the luxury experience it advertises.
