The Restoration

We had an absolutely phenomenal stay at The Restoration! From start to finish, every aspect of our visit exceeded expectations—thanks in large part to the outstanding team that brings this hotel to life. The front desk staff, concierge, valet attendants, and housekeeping were all remarkable—consistently friendly, attentive, and professional. I want to especially recognize Matthew and Ben for their exceptional service. Matt was incredibly personable and went above and beyond to assist us both before our arrival and throughout our stay. Ben was truly a standout—each morning he delivered our breakfast with care and a warm smile, and his service as our Jeep driver made getting around town not only convenient but enjoyable. His genuine hospitality made us feel right at home. The daily breakfast and in-room breakfast baskets were excellent—thoughtfully prepared and a perfect way to start each day. The beds were exceptionally comfortable (not always a given when traveling), and the daily wine and cheese in the library was a lovely, relaxing touch. The complimentary use of the Jeep for local travel was a fantastic and convenient perk that we really appreciated. Finally, I was deeply impressed by the consistent warmth and helpfulness of every staff member we encountered. Their hospitality set the tone for a truly memorable stay. We can’t wait to return!

We travel quite a bit and by far this was one of the best hotel experiences in a while. From before arrival until departing we had a wonderful experience. The property and room were gorgeous. The daily morning breakfast basket left by our door was fabulous. The rooftop restaurant had unbelievable cocktails and views. And the fifth floor pool was a welcome respite after a long day of touring before the evening guest happy hour. Overall could not be beat except by the kindness and excellent guest services provided by Christian and Tristan. We also couldn’t ask for a sweeter server upstairs than Jenn. Her recommendations where top notch. Thank you all for the memorable weekend escape.

My husband and I stayed at the Restoration from 7/22-7/26. We both thought the hotel was very clean and the staff friendly. Their amenities, though thoughtful, were inconsistent, at best. The breakfast basket delivery was such a great idea and on 3/4 mornings, arrived between the expected window of 8-9:30. One day, however, it was delivered at approximately 10:45 (after my husband asked twice) without any explanation for the delay. Another thoughtful amenity was the Jeep service that would bring guests anywhere within a two mile radius. I, at 6 months pregnant, wanted to of course utilize this in the summer heat but any time we inquired about booking in advance, the front desk staff told us to just “come downstairs when we were ready.” Each and every time we did this, the Jeep wasn’t available and the staff had no idea when the driver would be back. One day, we waited 45 minutes before just setting out on foot after being told that he would return in “20 minutes.” My final (and biggest) complaint is that I was charged after check out for supposedly consuming nuts from the snack basket in the room. Neither of us ate any nuts and I have called the hotel twice now to rectify the situation to no avail. I have also requested a receipt, which I have not yet received. I will be disputing the charge with my credit card company, but very disappointed as we really did enjoy our stay on the whole. Overall takeaway: nice hotel with great amenities just unfortunately not consistently executed.
