When we arrived here, we were blown away by the beauty of this place! The gardens are impeccable; the rooms are huge, clean and luxurious with massive showers. The food is unreal! Breakfast and dinner are served as buffets but the breakfast buffet has a chef making custom omelets and eggs and at dinner, custom pasta made to your desire. Judith was our server while we were here and she was incredible…she remembered us the next day after our full day safari and asked if we got to see a rhino…love you Judith! Box lunches were also yummy! We hated to leave
Our stay at The Retreat at Ngorongoro was truly exceptional-- an experience we'll never forget. The staff was incredibly warm, attentive, and went out of their way to make us feel at home. Every detail, from the beautifully designed rooms to the gourmet meals, reflected care and quality. After a day of exploring the Crater and witnessing its incredible wildlife, coming back to the comfort and serenity of the resort was the perfect end to each day. One of the unexpected highlights of our visit was the tour of the resort's spice and vegetable garden. It was such a unique experience-walking through rows of fresh herbs, spices, and vegetables while learning how they are used in the resort's kitchen. The guide was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate, and it gave us a deeper appreciation for the delicious meals we enjoyed each day. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a stay that combines comfort, culture, and a true sense of place.
Luxury retreat located in a quaint spot. Excellent service and very accommodating to our needs. The staff here are very friendly and provided amazing service. The food was very tasty and there is buffet with omelette station for breakfast and made to order pasta station for dinner. Do the free garden tour if possible. They have an amazing fruit and vegetable garden and the George the person who gave the tour was very knowledgeable and passionate about maintaining the garden and the grounds. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and wound highly recommend for anyone.
