My husband and I stayed at The Retreat Hotel , Malad, to celebrate our anniversary, and it truly exceeded all expectations! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel welcomed . The check-in process was smooth. The rooms were clean, with comfortable pillows and spotless bedsheets. We had dinner at their Oriental Bowl restaurant, food and service were excellent ! They even made us a cake for our anniversary and gave us complimentary soft beverages. They have a decent spread of breakfast. The checkout time was 10 , but they did allow us to check out a little later. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a memorable getaway in Mumbai.

HI, recently I stayed in this resort, but did not get the feel of five star resort. The food is good but with limited spread. The resort looks very spacious and close to the beach /Madh. Staff are courteous and willing to help. The rooms are ok, could be improved; pool side view is good. The Madh beach is not maintained well, one can walk, and we were advised not to venture into the sea due to heavy under currents. The management needs to improve lighting and ambience.

Disappointed & Frustrated – Definitely Not 5-Star Quality Currently staying here with my family for a quick vacation, and I honestly regret choosing this place. The overall vibe is very dull – rooms and common areas are poorly lit with dark decor that makes everything feel gloomy and unwelcoming. The recreation room is no better – barely any lighting, making it hard to enjoy anything. Feels like cost-cutting is being done under the excuse of “ambience.” The most shocking experience was when we requested plates and spoons for baby food (we have twin toddlers), and were told there would be a charge for utensils. When we asked where this “policy” was written, staff couldn’t show us anything in writing – just said it was the hotel’s rule. Seriously? At a 5-star hotel? To top it off, we were asked to pay ₹3000 per day in advance as a cover charge in case we use paid services or order food – which would then be deducted. What kind of policy is that? Does the hotel assume guests are going to run away without paying the bill? It’s just our first day here, so let’s see how the other two days go – but so far, it’s been a frustrating and disappointing experience. Definitely not what you expect from a so-called luxury hotel
