We stayed here one night as a spontaneous extension of our honeymoon and I was very impressed with the accommodations. It is just as nice in person as it is in the photos. For just $160, we got a small room with everything we needed, but we spent most of our time outside at the fire pit since every room has its own complimentary "backyard". It's a lovely space to chat with a neighbor if you like, but many people also quietly kept to themselves and we all just enjoyed the peaceful evening. The bed was very comfortable with a nice mattress and a fluffy duvet cover. The bathroom is small, but the water was hot, and there was a rain shower head, which feels luxurious. Good water pressure. All in all, we had a fabulous time and I am so glad we booked it! Communication was also prompt and very kind. Our questions were answered right away and the hosts were great. Everything at the Rex is remotely run, so you get a sense of privacy to your stay that is similar to a self-check-in Airbnb. If you don't like bugs or the outdoors, this might not be for you. We didn't have any trouble, but since it's in the woods, don't be surprised if you encounter a mosquito or spider.
The Rex was better than expected. They were very accommodating as we changed our dates due to weather. The room was perfect with great amenities. Good coffee, comfy bed and pillows. Solo fire pit was great. Sauna was a super bonus! Had hiking right out our doorstep and good restaurants a short drive away. Perfect stay!
We really liked our stay, rooms are clean, amenities are satisfying, individual fire pit for each guest room with free logs & fire starters. The sauna is very nice. The place is chic & modern. Dog friendly, on site shop is cute too. A little bit noisy because of the road behind but not bad especially when you are inside. Only thing I would recommend to modify the path walking up to rooms, it’s difficult to walk (especially as a shorter person) and also hard to navigate luggage/suitcase on it.
