The Ridge at Playa Grande All Inclusive

The Ridge is the sports bar next to the lobby and was our favorite place to eat mainly because of Julio. He was our server the first time we visited. We had such a great time because he gave such great service, was funny and personable that we kept going to see him every time he worked. The food is also excellent. Start with the calamari. Then a shrimp Caesar salad, garlic shrimp, or ribs would all be excellent choice for your meal. But for me, the beef tenderloin entree was my favorite by far. Best steak that I've had in 30 years. I highly recommend this place. We never had a bad meal the entire week we were there

Good resort with lots of walking. the ridge is at up the hill and it is difficult for older people to climb. i cant belive they dont have any water provided and no water fountains in whole resort. To have food / lunch/ dinner we need to walk all the way and go by steps ( huge 50 to 100 steps, no elevator there). it is terrible experience for visit restaurant in thr resort.. i asked not to provide room near to Marina (as i saw reviews of lot of noise ) during booking.. but they provided near to Marina and it is horrible experience with lots of noise till 4AM on Friday and Saturday. The staff dont even care of you and never bother to help you. Seems they dont worry if the tourist will come back or not. overall pathetic front desk and they are not courteous and not helpful. they see you as money machine to Milk from. no human touch.

Do not select the Ridge rooms overlooking the harbor unless you plan on staying up all night listening to loud music. The Mayan Monkey rooftop bar on the harbor plays their music at outdoor concert level until 5 AM every night. I couldn’t sleep at all.
