The Rising Sun

Loved it! Me and my mother went here this evening. the carvery smelled delicious as soon as we walked in the door, food was so good - stuffed us full haha! the staff were lovely and kind, drinks were nice. the menu is well priced and a nice location. beautiful views over the hills, it was a perfect location to celebrate!!

From arrival to departure, the stay was first class. Staff were so friendly on arrival and promptly got us checked in and shown to our rooms. The rooms were very well finished, furniture and decor was lovely, very clean, great shower room, some soft music on a DAB radio for entry to the room to create a calming mood. A lovely delicious meal was had that evening with some refreshments from the bar, whilst sat in the large outdoor garden space in the sunshine. Comfy bed for a great nights sleep and without a doubt, the full English breakfast in the morning was one of the most enjoyable breakfasts had anywhere. very clean, cooked to perfection, with some lovely coffee. Honestly, by chance, found a real gem here....and only 2.2miles from the airport for our flight the next day.

Stayed here after our holiday, staff went above and beyond. Left our key out for us in a safe space as we were getting in at stupid o'clock. In the evening when we came down for a beer, nice environment ( didn't get the ladies names, all blonde😂) but the lady with black glasses we had a little natter to outside, took the time out of her busy day to have a chat which was lovely! All the staff were friendly and attentive ( we know this as we love a people watch😅) Went down for breakfast, both days we were served by Zara who couldn't have been more helpful! Especially on the first morning as we were so tired from travelling they brought our breakfast up to us! So we had a lovely breakfast in bed! Only had breakfasts here but hats off to the chefs! As the food was stunning! We would come again 100%
