We had a wonderful stay at the Ritz, and the absolute highlight was the bike tour with the amazing Kathrine and Sophie! They went above and beyond to make the experience as fun and memorable as possible. Although we initially requested a quick 30-minute ride due to our checkout schedule, the tour ended up lasting 1.5 hours — and they were incredibly accommodating throughout. Thank you both for making our stay truly special!
One of the best Ritz IMO. Hands down the best service and soft products in the Marriott portfolio. Although hotel might lack the super high floors like Ritz Hong Kong or the super old-money feel in London, it is one of the more unique culturally speaking. I suggest booking some of the activities and restaurants beforehand. Also I recommend planning some time to walk around the hotel at night to admire the decors, artwork, etc.
Outstanding hotel, certainly one of the best I've stayed at. I had high expectations coming into this stay and they were exceeded! The service at the hotel is fantastic and helped make it an unforgettable experience. The rooms and property are beautiful. There was plenty of space in the room and also offered great features such as the bathroom. The location was exactly what I was looking for in Kyoto and made it easy to get around to find restaurants and other touristy destinations. The property was amazing to walk around and includes all the amenities that you could want such as the pool, fitness center, and hot tub. They also offered an afternoon tea and pastry shop which was nice to take advantage of in the mornings. Service is some of the best I've had at any hotel. Naoto was great and helped complete the check-in process in my room. All the other staff I interacted with were very friendly and helpful. I appreciate the help the concierge gave me in finding restaurant reservations for my family. They ensured I had a great stay throughout even up to checkout. As I left, they offered to assist with arranging transportation and following up on how I enjoyed the stay which I greatly appreciated. I would love to come back here if I find myself back in Kyoto.
