The hotel’s common spaces are lovely. The rooms are a bit warn but clean. Our rug was stained which diminished the ambiance of the space. Most folks who visit the Ritz don’t have stained carpets at home. I’ve noticed the same in the DC Ritz-Carlton hotel. The rooms are spacious and the service is top notch. Clean the carpet people and invest in the maintenance of these once grand hotels.

Our room was unbearably warm on our 7/26/25 stay at the Ritz Carlton St Louis. We called and reported that we were unable to sleep at 1:30 am since our room still had not cooled. They brought us a fan and said that was the best they could do because the hotel was full. We reported that we could not sleep when we checked out the next morning but the staff was unconcerned. I think when you pay $800 plus dollars to stay in a hotel that your stay should at the very least be comfortable and if that is impossible you should be offered a monetary solution of some sort. A discount or a free night on your next stay or even complimentary breakfast the next day. They offered NOTHING. I will not be back!! I would like to add that we are Titanium Elite Marriott Bonvoy members so they know we are loyal customers.

Beautiful space, but our experience after the visit left us questioning the Ritz’s follow-through and professionalism. We were double-charged at the bar after a large event. We weren’t chasing freebies—we just wanted the overcharge corrected. What should’ve been a quick fix turned into over a month of unreturned calls, repeated follow-ups, and silence. Savannah from food & beverage eventually confirmed the error, apologized, and offered a dinner for four and passes to the cigar lounge as a gesture. We appreciated the offer—but never asked for it. When we followed up later to use it, she was no longer there. The person we spoke with didn’t honor the arrangement, reduced the offer, and treated us as if we were making it up. We did finally receive our refund. But for a property operating under the Ritz name, the lack of accountability, communication, and basic service was disappointing.
