The Ritz Carlton Xi'an

Very good overall but got a lot of small issues. The left night stand outlet doesn’t work. The TV remote out of battery and the TV turned on by itself at 7:45 on the day of check out which woke the whole family and kind of scary. Also the door fob mechanism on the door was out of battery so I had to go to the concierge 3 times and eventually got my wife to let me in coz the kid was sleep and I couldn’t have staff repairing the door at night. Another thing was that one of the main reason we booked this hotel was coz we saw online that some children have gotten little gifts such as lion stuffie but we didn’t get anything which made our kid quite disappointed. Among the 3 hotels we stayed in Xi’An, this is the only one with air conditioner providing cold air in March so I’d probably book again, but there’s just so many little issues with them.

We came here for our anniversary. It is a basic Ritz hotel with minimal benefits of being a Titanium elite member. No lounge provided, no complimentary dry cleaning, no suite upgrades. We also were interrupted by a big ruckus in the middle of the night and they called the police to take away another guest. We probably won't be coming back

Perhaps I’m a non smoker, but the smell of cigarette smoke in the hotel rooms and hallway is strikingly apparent and distressing for me, especially when the hotel advertises itself as a smoke free property in its entirety. Disappointing stay considering it being the most expensive hotel in Xi’an. Location is also a bit far from everywhere.
