Exceptional attention to detail. It felt like we walked into a 5 star hotel when we entered the rondawel. Fresh flowers were displayed on the table. The bedside lights and fan was already turned on to welcome us. There was even some mood lighting with fairy lights. The bedding, kitchen utensils and bathrooms are very luxurious, especially for an adventurous atmosphere. I will most certainly be back and would recommend it to anyone. It's super family friendly as well.
The host went out of her way to make sure our place was comfortable for us, very thoughtful. Even 2 spare bags of wood and 2 Complimentary crates of wood for the fire place on a weekend it was 1 degrees. Very tastefully decorated with everything u need in the tiny kitchen. Our bedroom had an aircon, beds are comfortable, nice linnen, loose carpets. Tastefully done to suit a tiny old farm cottage right by the riverside. Please note, the bathrooms are on the outside of the cottage on the stoep. Shower work well, water hot almost immediately, towels fresh, clean and included too
We had a lovely stay at River Siding! The rondawel 🛖 had everything we needed to be comfortable and truly enjoy our time there - EXCEPT for the double bed which was the most uncomfortable bed EVER! We honestly suggest you replace it asap. My partner had back surgery in December last year and on our second evening there, he had to resort to sleeping on the single pull out bed. NOT ACCEPTABLE! The outdoor braai was perfect for relaxed evenings under the stars, making for some unforgettable nights. While the bathroom wasn’t attached to the rondawel, it was absolutely no issue at all. The setting was breathtaking—peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by nature, creating the perfect getaway from the hustle and bustle. The bird life is absolutely amazing. 🐦The dassies 🦫 kept us entertained with their playful antics, and luckily, we had no trouble with baboons.🐵 If you're looking for a tranquil retreat in a beautiful natural setting, this place is well worth the visit! IF they replace the horrible bed!
