The hotel is conveniently located to the convention center and about a 10 minute walk to the French Quarter. The hotel was beautiful and very safe as you need the key card to come into the hotel late at night and to use the elevator as well. We had breakfast there there two days and it was delicious It was a good price. The room itself was beautiful and clean and was always well maintained by the maids. The refrigerator was a little small, but you could request another refrigerator. If you had more things that you had a store. The one issue I had with our stay there was the shower. It was very aggressive. It hurt to take a shower. The stream was so strong That was insulting at times. It was the worst shower I have ever been in. The coffee situation in the room is also weird. They only give you one regular cup of coffee and one decaf but as soon as I asked for more, I got plenty just a heads up. If you are coffee drinker, you need to ask right away for more coffee. All of that said I would go back to this hotel. The staff was very friendly and it was very clean and felt very safe the entire time.

Just wanted to compliment the Valet’s Ashton and James.. they were the friendliest, most helpful and left a wonderful impression. While every employee, especially in the hospitality industry, should exhibit excellent customer service, the most important are the ones on the front lines, the ones he greet and see the guests first and last. Thank you to the housekeeper who saved me from losing my favorite pillow! The room was nice, although the toilet was super loose and the seat as well, which was a bit of a shock the first time I sat down. Appreciated the free drink tickets.. When we went to the bar we waited way too long for service... Long enough we got up and asked if there was a bartender. All in all it was a good stay. Ashton and James earned the 4th star.

We’re here for our annual family vacation so this hotel was chosen by another family member who did all of the planning, but never in a million years would I EVER come back. We pulled up after a 7 hour drive to ask about parking options. The valet person acted like she didn’t see us. The parking is $50 per night and so is the parking across the street. The only other option is street parking on the side or behind the hotel, but you can only pay for up to 2 hours at a time. We required a cart to get our things up to our room (traveling with a one year old so we had a few bags, cooler, etc.). The valet had one so we took it and began to use it. The bellhop came out and told us we weren’t allowed to use it and had to wait for him. From what I could see, he was the only one available and there were other people checking in so we would’ve been waiting for a while. Anyway, we proceeded to continue loading our things onto the cart. He rolls away with our things without saying a word or letting us know where he was going. There were so many employees standing around the front desk talking and none greeted us or tried to assist with getting us checked in. We had to get their attention, even though they saw us standing there. We finally get the room key without being told what room we were in. We had to ask for that info as well. We get on the elevator with the bellhop, get to our floor, to discover we had stairs to go up to get to our room, so we had to unload the cart and take several trips up and down the stairs. The room was dirty. The shutters on the window were broken. There were makeup stains on the wall in the bathroom. The shelf at the bottom of the sink was broken. The shower floor and shower head were dirty. There were stains on the side of the sink. No trash bags. No refrigerator. No microwave. No ice bucket. If you need ice, you have to call the front desk. If you need a refrigerator or microwave, you have to call the front desk to request those items as well. Called to request extra pillows and ice around 9pm, didn’t receive the items until after 11pm and we were already asleep by then. This place is described as some luxury, historic stay but it’s FAR from that. Unfortunately we don’t check out until Monday, but I’ll update this review then to see if it gets any better or worse.
