The Riviera Maya Edition At Kanai

My son and I had an unforgettable stay at The Edition in Riviera Maya during a very meaningful time in our lives. After recently losing his father, Sebastian and I took this trip to honor his dad’s wish that we keep exploring the world. From Fernando’s warm welcome to the impeccable service throughout, every moment exceeded our expectations. Special thanks to Filippo for a seamless check-in, Ivan for his enthusiastic welcome, and Marisa for handling our room concerns with care and professionalism. Dining was a highlight—Darby, Wilbur, and Derick made every meal and cabana moment memorable. The one-bedroom ocean view suite was stunning, and housekeeping kept everything immaculate. Each of our dining experiences were fantastic. The oysters were divine, service impeccable. The spa is vast and ultra relaxing. I had several treatments and they were world class. Even when we got a little lost on the property, Luis kindly guided us with care. We left feeling supported, refreshed, and grateful. Thank you for being part of our healing journey.

My husband and I just returned from a 4 night stay at this amazing location. We were blown away by all aspects of our trip—the food, service, property maintenance, attention to detail, etc. The grounds are meticulously maintained and every part of the property is worthy of a photo—it is so beautiful. The attentiveness of the staff was top notch. My husband casually mentioned a dessert he liked and one of the restaurant managers made a point to inform the chef to make that dessert for us the following day. On our last night, we were craving it again but by the time we mentioned something, it was nearing the end of the day. The chef came out to meet us at the pool to say that the dessert would take 2 hours to make, but that he would gladly prepare it and have it sent with our room service that night. There were several other occasions where staff members went above and beyond as well. It’s nice to be able to dine at the neighboring property (St. Regis Kanai). We contemplated staying there before deciding on EDITION but after visiting, we were very happy with our decision. I could go on and on about our experience. Quick drive from CUN, felt very safe on the grounds, off site excursions and dining options if that is your thing. Overall, 10/10 experience and we will be back!

My partner and I stayed here last January and we absolutely loved it - very unique location and the architecture of the place is beautiful. You actually don’t really need to leave the hotel as it has everything. The rooms are also very comfortable and spacious, very well lit compared to the other Editions we’ve stayed in. Although we did notice how understaffed the team was, especially during peak dining hours at their restaurants. We also experienced one late night cocktail and a breakfast where we were almost completely ignored as they were a special group that the limited staff were catering to. We’ll definitely be back. Hope they found a way to improve the service!
