It’s incredibly rare to arrive somewhere with high expectations, only to have them exceeded — but that was exactly our experience at The Robertson Small Hotel. From start to finish, our stay was nothing short of exceptional. Even before our arrival, the reservations team took note of our special requests and ensured everything was perfectly arranged. Upon arrival, we were greeted with the warmest welcome — a lovely touch that immediately made us feel at home. Every staff member was kind and intuitive. They seemed genuinely invested in making our stay enjoyable, and it showed in every interaction. The food was another highlight. The breakfast spread was both generous and delicious, enhanced by an à la carte menu. One unforgettable moment came at check-out when we discovered that our car had been washed and polished by the grounds staff — an unexpected gesture that left us so touched. A heartfelt thank you to Walter, Peter, Monique, Sthandwa, and every other member of the team (I wish I could name each of you!). You made our stay truly memorable, and I left with the warmest, most satisfied heart. Our stay here was exceptional! The staff are fantastic and the hotel itself is like an oasis. We never wanted to leave! From the moment we checked in to when we left, everything was idyllic. We ate dinner at the restaurant where Tarryn, our server, hosted us and provided excellent recommendations and conversation. We will definitely be back and are eager to try the other Living Journey Boutique hotels!
