The Rome Edition

Went to the rooftop bar for some drinks. It was absolutely amazing. Gorgeous views, beautiful layout/decor, fantastic staff and delicious cocktails. This was luxury without feeling the hard sell. I think the waiter was called Mateo and he was superb. Honestly one of the best experiences I have ever had and top three things to do in Rome.

As a longtime fan of the Edition brand, I had high expectations – and the Rome Edition delivered effortlessly. The design strikes the perfect balance between the Edition brand’s signature understated luxury and its Rome location, with abundant travertine throughout the interiors, a beautiful nod to the city’s heritage. Service was polished yet warm, the hotel seemed impeccably staffed at all times, and nothing was too much trouble. The ground floor bar serves some of the best cocktails I’ve had in recent memory – a destination in itself. Le Labo toiletries in the rooms are also a welcome touch, adding to the sense of low-key indulgence. The gym deserves a special mention. Possibly the best-designed hotel gym I’ve experienced, with a smart, intimate layout and everything you’d actually want for a proper workout. I visited in January, so the rooftop terrace bar was closed for the season, but it’s a great asset for the tourist season. A beautiful base for discovering (or rediscovering) the city, look no further if you’re a fan of unfussy, understated luxury hotels.

Whether you're a fan of the classics or in the mood for something off-menu, he has a talent for understanding exactly what you’re looking for. Alessandra brings her own flair, combining charm with precision. Her recommendations from the extensive drinks menu are always spot-on, making every visit feel curated just for you. The drink selection itself is top-tier—featuring a wide range of premium spirits, carefully selected wines, and a creative cocktail list that blends modern twists with timeless favorites. Every pour is done with care, and it’s clear the ingredients are chosen with quality in mind. A huge thanks to Luca as well . Overseeing it all is the ever-professional maestto Alessandro, whose presence brings an extra layer of polish to the experience. He ensures everything runs smoothly, always checking in with guests and making sure the atmosphere remains both relaxed and refined. In short, this bar offers not just a drink, but a full experience—thanks to the impeccable service, a standout team, and a commitment to excellence from top to bottom. Thank you all.
