The Rooms Hotel & House

Honestly, I don’t get the bad reviews — perhaps we were just lucky. Our room was like a mini airbnb with kitchenette (no dish soap BUT there were cooking utensils), balcony, sleeping couch, mini island table with chairs, etc. Lots of closet space, heated bathroom floors, and really nicely renovated. It also had an AC which is super rare in Germany, though we didn’t use it. The hotel doesn’t seem as easy to access via public transport but we went by car and had no issue. Parked right out front when we arrived in the late evening. A negative point: we had a baby and ended up having to co-sleep because there were no bassinets available (even though we’d specifically made our request clear in advance).

If I could give it a no star I would do so. This hotel is ran by scammers. The elevator is NEVER operational and you will most likely be given a 5th floor to stay in. When we checked in we were notified that the elevator wasn’t working, so we swiftly told them to cancel the reservation because we could not get to the 5th floor with no elevator, they agreed to cancel the reservation the next day, 5 days later they are still denying the application for a cancellation and refund even though the reason for cancellation is due to their elevator not working. Do NOT stay here, go to holiday inn which is very closeby instead and includes breakfast.

I would not recommend this hotel. Unfortunately, the service did not meet expectations. During our stay in winter, with temperatures around 2°C in Frankfurt, the heater in our room was not working. We reported the issue to the receptionist, who assured us it would be fixed the next day, but nothing changed. When we brought it up again, we were met with excuses and told to contact Booking.com for any refund, which felt dismissive. The location was also disappointing – it did not match the views shown in the pictures. Additionally, there was an unexplained extra door in the bedroom leading to an empty space, which felt strange. Due to the cold and lack of heating, we had to check out early and find another hotel, which was very stressful and inconvenient, especially while traveling with luggage. Sadly, this experience negatively affected our trip.
