We really enjoyed our stay at the Roost Hotel located in Ocean Springs. It's a quaint boutique hotel with beautiful oak trees surrounding the property. It is conveniently located and near the restaurants and shops on Washington St. We stayed in a suite which gave us plenty of space to spread out. It was nice having a separate living area and small kitchen. The room was beautifully decorated and clean. The only area that needed a bit of attention was the shower doors, as they had a film on them probably from soap suds building up over time. The staff was both friendly and accommodating. Loved the special cocktails at the bar located on the property.
My husband and I stayed at the Roost for 3 nights for his birthday and our Anniversary. We had an incredible stay! The young lady working the front desk was lovely and very attentive to our needs. She went above and beyond to walk us to our room in the pouring rain! Our room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, the shower was hot and relaxing, and the balcony was an added plus! We swam in the pool and even had it all to ourselves one afternoon. The Roost is an amazing place to stay and we look forward to staying here again!
The hotel was pretty, staff was excellent, but the room was so noisy and the bed was extremely uncomfortable. The bed felt like sleeping on a cot or a wooden floor. I would not stay here again. Every footstep from the rooms upstairs echoes in the downstairs rooms loudly. I stayed in a downstairs room and was kept awake for hours by the people staying above me. Some level of noise is to be expected with any older building, but I couldn’t believe just how loud the steps were. It sounded like someone was stomping around in my own room. I would only go back to enjoy a cocktail at the bar, but I did not get a wink of sleep and would not consider staying overnight here again. I was excited to stay here but left very disappointed in the experience I had with my room.
