The Roseate Edinburgh

I really enjoyed my two-night stay at the Roseate. The highlight is the friendly staff. They were able to accommodate my early check-in, and help me book an extra night when a flight cancellation left me with a bonus night in Edinburgh. The building is beautiful and in a quiet neighborhood just outside of the major attractions. I was able to walk to the Royal Mile in 30 minutes but Ubers were also readily available. The room was cozy and the bed was really comfortable. There were also plenty of outlets around the room which sometimes could be an issue in older properties. The breakfast at the hotel was also delicious. I would not hesitate to stay here again when visiting Edinburgh!

The Roseate Edinburgh - An Unforgettable Stay! My recent one-night stay at The Roseate Edinburgh for my MBA Graduation ceremony was absolutely magical! This hotel is truly an authentic gem, and I cannot recommend it highly enough. From the moment I arrived, the people were simply super, and their hospitality was truly over the moon. When they learned I was in the city for such a special celebration, they generously upgraded my room to the magnificent Royal Room – a gesture that made my trip even more memorable. Their attention to detail continued with a thoughtful email, providing a curated list of the city's best restaurants for dinner, and even offering to coordinate the booking for me. This personalized touch truly set them apart. Beyond the incredible service, the view from the hotel is absolutely stunning. It offers a beautiful backdrop to an already perfect stay. The convenience of free secured parking was an added bonus, taking away any stress about finding a spot in the city. And let's not forget the breakfast – it was nothing less than WOW! A truly delightful start to the day. Thank you, The Roseate Edinburgh, for making my graduation trip so special and luxurious. I can't wait to visit again!

The hotel is in a lovely building, but be prepared to carry your luggage up a narrow staircase. Even the hotel entrance has stairs. There are no lifts and no ramps of any sort. Our room was adorable but tiny. There was no closet (just some hooks on the wall at the entrance), which is unpleasantly messy. The bathroom was also very small, with a spacious shower and toilet crammed into a space so small that a tall person would find uncomfortable. The sink was placed in the bedroom itself with no counter space at all. For a single, short, and fit individual with no luggage, the room would be great. It was charming but not comfortable for us, two tall individuals with significant luggage for our 2 weeks of travel around Scotland! The staff were very nice. Maya, the receptionist, offered to help carry our luggage up the two floors to our room. She was very sweet. The location is very quiet with a most convenient bus stop in front of the hotel. The restaurant was great too! I'm sure they must have bigger rooms.... Bottom line: check the details of what you're booking!
