The hosts Michelle & Caroline were exceptional in their hospitality. Felt more like visiting friends rather than staying at a hotel. Very clean, well maintained accomodation. Front communal conservatory is a very well furnished, bright & and excellent place to lounge around. Breakfast was served with great care, love & attention to detail. No ask was too much for them. Excellent level of hygiene maintained throughout the premises & every aspect of service. Would definitely recommend this place. In fact, most of the other guests were regulars who come year on year!

My husband and I have just returned from a short break at The Rowborough, and plan to return. Michelle and Caroline are excellent hosts. Our room was comfortable and clean. The breakfasts and evening meals are delicious. This is a real gem of a hotel, very reasonably priced and within easy distance of Shanklin town centre and seafront. What more can we say, but thank you Michelle and Caroline for looking after us, and making us feel so welcome.

Staying at the Rowborough is just like staying at the house of two relatives who you haven't seen in a long while. Michelle and Caroline are amazing hosts: their warm and positive energy in the morning (and just about any other time of day) is really fantastic and really gives you a positive vibe to your trip. The other highlight of this place is definitely the breakfast: each morning, they cook up a high quality, full English breakfast for you (+ choice of cereals, grape fruit, juices, tea and really good coffee) - it was so filling, we only had to get a light snack for lunch and meant we could spend more time exploring the Isle of Wight. They gave great tips for our itinerary - definitely ask one of them (although can't remember if it was Michelle or Caroline with the tip!) about where to find red squirrels, which is not widely publicised online - we followed their recommendation and saw two red squirrels (and it made an excellent walk)! They also recommended a more scenic drive to get to the Needles, which again was a different route to what Google recommends and was easily one of the highlights of our trip. Other things: room is clean, parking is available and location is great. It is about a 10 - 15 minute walk to the high street where there are a range of restaurants and it is a good base to explore the rest of the island. Definitely will be returning if we come back to the Isle of Wight.
