The Royal Forester Country Inn

Well.stopped here 4 years ago during covid and had a pizza outside under the tent tonight on way to the caravan thought we would try this place again and can not fault the place wife had Chicken chips and salad i ordered fish b chips what a surprise portions were well sized and delicious...... will definitely pop in again well worth the visit

Lovely people and great location, but losing a star as the room was a bit ‘tired’ - sheets and towels had some stains. Nothing was dirty as it all smelt fine, but just a few old stains. There was also a loud buzz and vibration from some sort of machine (kinda like a generator) right outside the window throughout the stay. But I will be back as the service was good and I would love to try the menu too :)

Menu appeared to be trying to be fine dining but food didn't live up to that. It was nice and edible but not good value for money. Staff were spending more tome discussing what needed to be don't than doing it and subsequently handing out the least favoured jobs to the newest member of the team.
