The Royal Garden

The food at this hotel buffet is excellent. Becky was so welcoming at meals each day. I enjoyed my water view room and the hotel was clean. Concierge offered me an umbrella too which came in handy. I didn’t want to buy one for this trip. Great location and near the train The architecture in the courtyard is very pretty. Thanks for a nice stay.

Love the unique architectural structure：a courtyard (restaurants) with balcony, surrounded by high floors of guest rooms in 3 directions. And there's a 80s 90s tint in the aesthetics. You got to view this in the lift as if it's a time travel. But I think they need to do a bit of renovation while keeping the overall aesthetics. Gym is spacious and clean but lacks equipment variety. Also the service staff are not quite graceful.

Hotel is in good location, within 5 to 10 minutes walk to MTR or harbour front; staff are friendly and helpful; room was clean and tidy. Roof top swimming pool is also nice. However, room was very tired in both hard and soft furnishings, especially the furniture. Bed was also a bit saggy and uncomfortable which caused me had a sore back. To me, it's not 5 star hotel, more like 4 star.
