We had a wonderful stay at The Royal Oak! The staff were incredibly kind and welcoming, the atmosphere was cozy and full of character — a real gem in the English countryside. We came here because my son is a fan of James May, and we definitely weren’t disappointed. The rooms are charming and comfortable, the pub food is absolutely delicious, and James May’s signature gin is simply fantastic! Highly recommend both the stay and the dining (and drinking!) experience.
Just popped in for quick pint and some water for my dogs. Nice Cider for me and the barmaid didn't hesitate to fetch a bowl of water. Lovely country pub with a great selection of drinks and what looked like a good food menu
Just returned home after visiting the royal Oak. We had a wonderful time. The food was superb, the waiting staff were plentiful, pleasant and attentive, but not intrusive. And the rooms were beautiful and peaceful. It is a lovely place to simply switch off. Thank you to the Royal Oak and all the staff.
