Dishonest staff. We tried to check in with our 2 room booking but we told there’s a construction (found out later on there was no construction) in the tower we were originally booked in and that it would be noisy. We were told that we’d be given an upgrade for an additional hkd700+ (40 sqm) and hkd 1299 (65sqm harbourview room) per night to move to a better & quieter tower. We asked for rooms on the same floor and were told the only options were two 1299 rooms, both of which would be the same, except one would have a harbourview room. We agreed to this but when we moved into our rooms, found out one room was significantly smaller than the harbourview room. We went down to complain and found out the smaller room was only 40sqm. Turns out they gave us the 40sqm room even though they charged us for the 65sqm room. They eventually reversed the charges but they would not have done that if we did not find out and complain. In addition, we were told our rooms had 2 breakfasts included for each room. But staff kept trying to charge us for the breakfasts, both while we were eating and also as we were trying to check out. We’ve stayed at many hotels in HK in the past but have never encountered something like this. This hotel just felt scammy.

I recently stayed at the Royal Pacific Hotel in Hong Kong and had a disappointing experience, primarily due to misleading information during our check-in from the staff. We booked two rooms for three nights for myself and my friend. Upon check-in, the staff informed us that there was ongoing construction in our originally booked tower and suggested we consider moving to another tower, where the reception is located, to avoid noise disturbance. He initially offered an “upgrade” to a larger room in the new tower for 1,299 HKD, and wrote this rate on a piece of paper, but failed to disclose that this rate was only for a single night. The staff also proposed two rooms on different floors: a 65 sqm harbor-view room for 1,299 HKD and a 40 sqm room for 798 HKD, claiming that these were the only options. We asked if he could find two rooms on the same floor, and after checking, he confirmed there were two rooms both costing 1,299 HKD, with one offering a harbor view and the other not. We agreed, assuming this was a reasonable arrangement. However, when we received the bill, we were shocked to see an additional charge of 3,898 HKD just for the “upgrade” for each room alone, adding the 3,506 HKD for each room from the original booking— a total that was much higher than we expected (7404hkd for each room). It was only later that we realized the staff had shown us only a nightly rate and had not disclosed the full cost upfront. How can you call it as an upgrade when in fact you paid for the exact amount difference to change the room type? What really disappointed us was the rooms we received were not identical as claimed. While one had a harbor view (a harbour view suite with a separate living room, coffee room with view, separate shower and bath tub areas, and a dressing area), the other was significantly smaller than the 65 sqm room (a pacific grand room at 40sqm) we were led to believe we were “upgrading” to. We felt cheated, as we paid for the same amount for two rooms that were not equivalent in size or quality. We had to go back downstairs to complain, and only then was the charge for the smaller room adjusted to a more reasonable rate. Additionally, despite the staff’s claim of ongoing construction, we later discovered that there was no such work happening during our stay. Overall, the staff’s approach felt deceptive—initially enticing us with a large-room “upgrade” at a seemingly reasonable rate, only to hit us with a much higher bill. This experience left us feeling misled and disappointed. I would advise future travelers to be cautious and ensure all costs and room details are clearly disclosed upfront to avoid similar issues.

It is my first time being here Extremely un-happy at all about almost eveything starting from the very poor welcoming and services provided by the reception senior manager whom have check us in myself and myfriend , was very rude and un welcoming at all! Kept refusing any special request asked by us in a rude way by saying “ NO” and stops ! Rooms were very small , tiny , you can barely move inside of it. Quality of amenities and bath 🧼gels and tooth pastes were also very cheap honetly. Their staff at check out called Mr. anson and Cheung were un happy to help as they see me late on my flight they keep talking to each ofher without any help with luggages nor with finding me a taxi as i suffer from my uber ! Location is quite good however , not too bad , close from pharamacy and a small shop. Vie at night as shown in videos , too dark and area of it is ignored no seats no nice lighting O activities Gym closes at 11 PM and it is not nice Bad experience overall I would not at all recommend this place to anyone ever.
