The Royal Hotel is a treasure trove of old-world charm, beautiful artwork, and antique furniture. From the moment we stepped inside, we felt like we'd entered a bygone era. Our room was a delightful surprise - spacious, comfortable, and well-appointed. The coffee station was a lovely touch, and the huge beds were adorned with good quality linen, ensuring a restful night's sleep. The hotel's gardens are immaculately kept, with a sparkling swimming pool that's perfect for hot summer days. The staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making us feel right at home. The meals were expertly prepared, and we enjoyed every bite. We did experience a minor issue with the shower, which didn't have warm water, luckily it was a warm evening. The bar had a lively playlist, which clashed and competed with the calming music played on the stoep and in the dining room. Rather decide on one or the other. On the plus side, the hotel's front stoep is the perfect spot to watch life unfold in Steytlerville. We also appreciated the pet-friendly policy, which allowed us to bring our furry friend along. Implementing a smoking section or designating smoke-free areas might improve the experience for non-smokers. Overall, the Steytlerville Royal Hotel is a hidden gem that offers a unique blend of old-world charm, comfort, and hospitality. You can see a lot of love is put into the hotel.

Steytlerville, a charming small town that truly offers an unforgettable experience. From the moment we arrived at the Royal Hotel Steytlerville, everything was simply excellent, and I would rate this place a solid 10 stars if I could! The food was outstanding. Every dish we tried was a delightful surprise. Equally impressive was the service provided by the two young men who handled everything from bartending and waiting tables to checking us in. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was enjoyable, and their enthusiasm added to the perfect vibe of the place. Speaking of atmosphere, the hotel itself is absolutely beautiful. Our room was immaculate. We'll definitely be back.

We, as a family, stayed at the Royal Hotel over the Xmas period. We were 17 people in total. Johan and his staff pulled out all the stops for us! Nothing was a problem for them. We had a fantastic relaxing time with them. Great food, great service, especially the waiter McBrian! I highly recommend them when visiting Steytlerville! Thank you once again to Johan and staff.
