The Royce

I had a fantastic stay at The Royce Hotel. From the moment we arrived, the experience was seamless and welcoming. The hotel strikes the perfect balance between modern luxury and old-world charm, with beautifully restored interiors and thoughtful details throughout. Our room was stylish and exceptionally comfortable. The bed was plush, and the amenities were high quality – from the linen to the lighting. It’s clear the hotel puts care into creating a relaxing and memorable experience for guests. I had a lovely take away breakfast too! Check pic :) The staff were professional and genuinely warm, always happy to assist with anything I needed. The location was also ideal – just a short stroll to the Botanic Gardens and a quick tram ride into the city. I also loved the in-house restaurant and bar – both delivered excellent service and food in a beautiful setting. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Melbourne looking for a refined boutique experience with outstanding hospitality.

The Royce is up there with the best quality boutique stay we have experienced. From the unique beautiful style of the hotel to the top quality service, you won’t be disappointed. We stayed in the Terrace Room which was well designed and exceptionally clean and comfortable. The beds are superb including lovely linen and great pillows. The bathroom is fabulous which incudes a Dyson Hairdryer .. great for us girls. The Showroom Bar is elegant and provides a great atmosphere for evening drinks and bites. The Terrace Breakfast room is outstanding with the most beautiful decor and lovely meals. The location is excellent with the tram system directly out front. You are also close to landmarks including The Shrine of Remembrance and The Royal Botanical Gardens. Short tram rides put you in the heart of Melbourne City or go the other direction to St Kilda for a beautiful waterfront walk. The staff are beyond fabulous. Everyone was committed to treating their guests to the best most friendly service. We enjoyed every moment and bought this through Luxury Escapes so had some great extras included for our stay. Well done The Royce.

Fabulous.... no let's make that fantabulous! Hubby and I stayed 2 nights at the Royce to celebrate our 29th wedding anniversary. The hotel itself was glorious, with spotless facilities, comfortable lounge areas, amazing decor, wonderful rooms, upmarket amenities, and delicious food. The grandeur of the hotel makes you want to dress up, and you feel like you are transported back in time. We ate breakfast in the Terrace and dinner in the Showroom, and all the dishes were a delight. The check in/out process was efficient and we were kindly invited back. I have only one negative comment. In the Showroom, on both nights we were served by an Asian waiter named Ricky (I believe that was his name). When he found out our booking was made under the Luxury Escapes package, his manner became a little condescending. Not once did he smile and he acted like we didn't deserve to be at the Royce.
