The Salila Beach Resort

Me and my partner stayed for just two nights and it was lovely. Room service and breakfast was beautiful. Great location, can walk to beach and shops quite easily. Service there was amazing. All the staff were always smiling and happy to help with whatever we needed. They had construction going on during our stay but they were so apologetic for that and it didn’t bother us too much at all. Thank you for a lovely stay.

This resort might not be as flash as some of the surrounding resorts, but the rooms are a great size, huge super-king beds, plus day-bed inside, kitchenette with kettle, coffee and tea, microwave and fridge. The rooms and bedding are extremely clean, crisp white linen. Bathroom with lots of drawer space and a very large shower. The breakfast, which we had daily, includes fruit, yoghurt, cereals, hot items such as rice porridge, bacon, sausage, baked beans etc, and eggs anyway. Selection of pastries, toasts and condiments. Juices, coffee and tea - as much as you can drink. The staff are amazing, so friendly, introduce themselves on your first day, and remember your name! There were no children in the resort, it is a 6 minute walk to the shops, beach cafes, bars and restaurants, has a lovely pool and surrounds. The gym is very basic with a few dumbells, a treadmill, a X-Trainer and a stationary bike. This is not the resort for you if you want a "fitness centre". Most importantly, which no resort tells you, they do not blast loud "doof-doof" music out at the pool. We walked past multiple resorts where the music is blarring from 10am until 23h00 ... there's no escaping it, and it's pretty confrontational if it's not what you want ! This is not a resort for younger adults looking to party, there are many other resorts that would suit this better. But for us, not wanting loud partying through the night, this was perfect. There were also a number of guests staying for a few months. I would recommend as a great option for couples, or friends travelling together. Although there were all ages, I'd say that this is a resort better suited to the more mature traveller, or those looking for a beautiful, quiet resort, in a great location to walk almost everywhere. We got a driver who worked for Mason Adventures, he was organised for us by the resort reception. He was amazing, and we used him for all our daytime. It makes a long trip a lot better when you have a great driver. We stayed for 8 days in early August, and would come back again. Thank you Salila Resort 🙂

The place has a lovely pool and beautiful surroundings, and the bed was very comfortable. Breakfast had a nice choice of fruits, and the staff were always polite and friendly. However, the bathroom wasn’t cleaned very well, and the WiFi was a real issue—only one device could connect at a time, which made working from here impossible (had to go to cafés for internet).
