The Sands Torquay

My recent stay at the Sands Resort was an absolute delight! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with seamless check-in—no waiting in lines, just a warm welcome that set the tone for our getaway. The staff at the resort truly epitomized hospitality. They eagerly went out of their way to ensure our comfort, even suggesting we use their towels instead of our own, which demonstrated their commitment to guest satisfaction. It’s these little gestures that made us feel so valued. Dining at the resort was one of the highlights of our trip. The restaurant offered an incredible culinary experience, with dishes that were not just delicious but also beautifully presented. The attentive staff enhanced our meal, frequently checking in to make sure everything was perfect. To our delight, they informed us about kangaroos spotted on the golf course. They even encouraged us to take our young daughter to see them, creating a memorable family experience. When I attempted to capture a photo of the kangaroos, staff members generously opened the balcony doors to give us a closer look, showcasing their dedication to guest enjoyment. Our room was impeccable—spotlessly clean, well-stocked with supplies, and equipped with efficient air conditioning, perfect for those warmer nights or chilly evenings. It was a tranquil oasis where we could unwind after a day of exploring. In summary, our stay at the Sands Resort exceeded all expectations. The combination of outstanding customer service, top-notch dining experiences, and comfortable accommodations creates the perfect getaway. I wholeheartedly recommend this resort to anyone seeking an exceptional retreat. We can’t wait to return for another memorable stay!

The hotel itself boasts beautifully appointed rooms, each offering stunning views of the golf course. Waking up to the sight of lush green fairways was a treat, and the private balcony provided a serene spot to enjoy a morning coffee. The rooms were spacious, impeccably clean, and thoughtfully equipped with everything one could need, Kids also enjoyed the large heated pool and tennis courts.

such clean wonderful rooms with great comfy bed and pillows! the shower is to die for and it is so rare these days to have places that really offer a fantastic shower head. the pressure and the large shower head was divine and so relaxing. It was really impressive. The room was so clean with a very large TV! only disappointing thing was that they don't have a nice block out curtain to pull across their roll down blinds which lets so much light in waking us up so early. (photo is of both blinds fully pulled down with no other options. there are two pull down blinds and the light comes straight through the middle!) All the rooms need are some pull-across blinds to really enhance the stay otherwise could not fault. The food was fantastic and staff were so lovely and accomodating from bistro to golf pro shop to check in! great place.
