The Sandymount Hotel

I had such a lovely experience at this hotel. The interior is beautifully designed and creates such a warm, welcoming atmosphere. The food was fantastic, and the location is perfect — just a short walk to the Aviva Stadium. What really stood out was the staff's kindness and honesty. I lost a ring during my stay and emailed after I left. Housekeeping found it and kindly posted it back to me — I was so grateful! Truly a gem of a hotel. Highly recommend and would definitely stay

Great service, easy to reach from Dart and good service. Nicely decorated hotel and room The ventilation was not good, and it got really warm. On the TV the hotel described how they are working sustainable but we still got new towels every day even though we put out the do not disturb sign.

This is mostly for the staff: the first day my daughter and I arrived, there was a gentleman at the front desk who checked us in...he was very nice and welcoming. Day 2 an older lady helped us get our bus pass and directions as we made our journey around the city. Nice also. Day 3 I asked for water and a tall man with glasses banged on our door and yelled out "water" which I thought was very rude, when I opened the door he handed me my 2 water bottles with a attitude and frowned! When I said "good morning " he just walked away! On checkout day a woman with black hair and bangs did everything in her power NOT to acknowledge or help my daughter and I Again , I said "good morning" but was greeted with a very dry response and no eye contact so i walked over to the same gentleman who checked us in, he made sure we were all set and thanked us for staying at the hotel. Thank you sir! My thoughts on this matter: It doesn't take much to be courteous to others regardless of how a person feels towards a person's race. She really showed how she felt about the color of our skin! Also, since its family owned they should think about how they would feel in this situation. Would they want someone to treat them this way? A couple of bad apples can leave a bitter taste in someone's mouth. I will return and visit Ireland again but I will never go back to this hotel. I came to a country for the culture, not to experience discrimination.
