The Saxon Inn

We visited here on a Sunday without reservation, and seem that we were lucky to get seated as by the time our meal was put on the table, the room we were in was full. The staff were all really friendly and the food was really tasty and quality. We had the mixed Sunday roast with extra veg and roasties. We would definitely go again. Thank you. Can’t comment on the rooms, but everywhere downstairs was clean and well presented.

Great pub/inn with amazing food, great atmosphere, and music in a nice quiet location. First of all, shout out to Bev, she made my stay feel great, very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. All staff were amazing, just didn't catch their names. Great location, green everywhere you look around. Very quiet as well. Limited parking on site but plenty available on roads outside. Food was amazing, with great portions, just tasty homemade food, and it tasted it. Room was very clean and had more amenities than a 5 star hotel in the middle of a busy city, great bathroom, good water pressure in the shower, smart TV with multiple streaming apps installed, great comfy bed AND a truly room controlled thermostat! Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and if I'm ever in the area again, I will definitely be back! Thank you Saxon Inn

Fantastic little place, very clean and service was excellent. Food was excellent and it was very quiet after 10pm so ideal when staying for business. 15 mins from Aycliffe business park. Beds comfortable and rooms spacious and clean. We had three rooms, all brilliant all guests had a great stay with a great night's sleep.
