Rooms: Classy and comfortable. Vintage furnishing adds character to the space. Includes all amenities and more of a classic hotel room. Service: Workers were kind and eager to assist. Beach towels and beach chairs available. Location: Rooms are steps away from the nearby Gooch's beach. Can watch sunset from rooms. Hot tub is often vacant and close to rooms.
I was celebrating a birthday and the Seaside Inn staff made it special. Best muffins ever (according to my friend), simple breakfast, tasty coffee, fabulous location - great beach, very kind staff. Older building. Super comfy bed and rooms were very clean. Thank you!
Loved the location of this inn where you can be at the beach in a 2 minute walk through the yard. There are hoses in the yard and on the deck where the hot tub is to get sand off before going back in your room, which is convenient. There is wire on the porch railings to hang swimsuits and towels and the porch is shaded to enjoy the air when you need a break from sun. They had plenty of surface area with dressers and tables and a microwave downstairs for reheating lunches. They have beach chairs for use and bikes, but no beach towels, bike locks, or helmets, if you planned on using them. Possible negatives - it's an older building without an elevator and I saw some elderly people struggling on the stairs - consider requesting a ground floor room if you can't do stairs. Breakfast is carb heavy with one protein option (really good homemade muffins, bagels, English muffins, cereal, cut fruit, and hard boiled eggs) and you either need to get there at 8 or wait at least half an hour for tables to open up. There was one towel rack in the bathroom and the other was over the door, preventing you from closing the door easily. Overall though, it's a beautiful old place and easy to get to the beach, if you don't mind a mile walk each way to dinner at night.
