Central to Canberra City and all of the major attractions, this hotel was a perfect base to explore the area. I thoroughly enjoyed my well-appointed room with the large bed and nice, hot shower. Staff were friendly and professional, and I enjoyed the breakfasts in the adjoining restaurant, though they were a little bit slow and understaffed. But, hey, I was here to relax and indulge, and that's exactly what I did ^____^

3.7 out of 5. Great location. You’re close to everything. It’s an easy short walk to shops and restaurants. The room was a decent size. The bed was comfortable. The shower was a beauty - good water pressure and very reliable hot water. The soft pillows were awful. The TV interface is horrendous. Overall, I like the place and would happily round up the score to a 4 out of 5. My companions were more critical and wanted to score it a 3 based on lack of crockery, lack of a shower cap and allegedly inadequate bedside lamps

One of the worst experiences I’ve had in Canberra. I booked this hotel well in advance (around 3–4 weeks) and informed them I’d be bringing my dog. I specifically chose this place hoping to give my dog a special experience. But when we arrived, absolutely nothing had been arranged—even though every other room on the same floor clearly had doggy mats and amenities set up. Even the basics were missing—no tea bags in the room, and we had to call every time we needed something. The worst part, though, was the service from a guest agent named Owen. From the moment we checked in, there was no greeting, no explanation nothing. Every time I asked a question, the response was robotic, unhelpful, and usually just “no,” with zero effort to offer alternatives or solutions. Honestly, I reckon I would’ve had better service at a backpackers. He came across as grumpy and disinterested the entire time we were there. I ended up avoiding him completely because he was so unapproachable and unfriendly. Also, be aware there’s no on-site parking. You have to park at the city centre and walk at least 10 minutes to get to the hotel. Never again.
