The Shack Inn

What a spectacular experience, first of all the view. It feels as if one could see the edge of the world just by opening the curtains in the well decorated main living space. Conveniently covered writhing walking distance of the best Homer has to offer, the Shack Inn is NOT a place you want to miss out on. And I haven’t even gotten to mention the gracious hosts yet! Please give this place a visit if you’re ever in town, you won’t regret it!

Staying at The Shack Inn was nothing short of magical. The moment you draw back the curtains in the main living space, you’re greeted with a view so stunning it feels like you’re standing at the edge of the world. The interior is tastefully decorated, cozy yet refined, creating the perfect atmosphere to relax and soak it all in. The location couldn’t be better — just a short walk to the best that Homer has to offer, from charming local shops to incredible dining and coastal sights. It’s the perfect blend of convenience and serenity. And then there are the hosts — warm, welcoming, and genuinely invested in making your stay unforgettable. Their hospitality truly sets this place apart. If you’re planning a trip to Homer, do yourself a favor and stay at The Shack Inn. It’s an experience you’ll treasure long after you leave.

Shawn and Ginny were wonderful hosts! This quaint Inn right on the Spit had spectacular views, comfy bed, just the right amount of amenities, and fabulously tasteful decor. Walking distance to the shops in the Marina (although this time of year, most shops were closed) or into town. My husband and I stayed two nights while on our wedding anniversary vacation and this spot was our highlight. Homer is a fantastic town and The Shack Inn could not have been more welcoming. Did I mention the amazing views?!? From sea to mountain tops. We would definitely come back and hopefully hit up Shawn for an ocean fishing day as well.
