5-Star Stay.... I recently stayed at The Shay, and I was impressed. Staff was warm, welcoming, and professional. Check-in was smooth, and I was in my room quickly. The room was spotless, stylishly decorated, and very comfortable. The bed was perfect for sleep, and I liked the thoughtful touches and design. A highlight was breakfast and lunch at Butterfly, located on the roof of the hotel, which made the stay special. The location was ideal for attending a concert at the Forum or SoFi Stadium. I'd stay again and recommend it for comfort, quality service, and a memorable experience.
Loved this hotel! Balcony, beautiful themed, amazingly kind staff. Walkable location. Across the street from shops and the city. Quality bath products, you can ask for a microwave and a steamer, amongst many other things! We could text them and things would be ready for us. We forgot something in our fridge and they brought it to the lobby. Near the rail. Security on point - doors locked after a certain time but security by door to allow people in
We stayed here recently and had a good experience. The rooms are spacious. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was nice and the shower was spacious. Our room had a balcony. However, it overlooked the apartment across the street and an intersection where another building is currently being built, so it was noisy. It wasn’t as noisy as the person stomping above us though. The floors/ceilings must be thin, because it seemed we could hear a lot of people walking around, especially late at night and early morning. We enjoyed the pool one afternoon. The wait staff were friendly. The drink prices are what you would expect for a hotel pool lounge ($8 seltzers, $15 cocktails). The $30/day guest fee and a $50/night valet parking fee seemed to be on par with several of the other Hyatt properties in the area. The area has some restaurants , shopping, and a brewery close by, but overall there’s not much to do. While we had a good experience, we would probably stay closer to the areas of LA we like to explore next time.
