Spent a long working here and our stay was lovely. Lovely and clean, hosts very welcoming and nothing too much trouble. Breakfast was gorgeous. Would definitely come back
We had a reasonably nice stay at the Shellbrooke. Room was small but clean and had everything we needed. The shower was a little lacking, not very powerful and hard to get the temp right without a lot of fiddling. I can't comment on breakfast as we were lazy and didn't get up in time but we did have a drink in the bar before going out for the evening. It was a little awkward as it was locked up unless someone wanted a drink and slightly pricey. The views were beautiful and the owners were very friendly. The one thing that did annoy me slightly was check out was 10:30 but our door was knocked on 3 times between 9:50 and 10:15 for room cleaning. Im not usually too fussy as I have worked in hotels before but I really felt like we were being pushed out unnecessarily early. Otherwise great hotel for short stay.
We had a comfortable stay here, very clean. The breakfast was great, I enjoyed smoked salmon with scrambled egg,, full English superb too.. Variations no trouble.
