Didn't use the accommodation, just the restaurant. Lovely quirky place. Good choice of eating outside or in. The food and service was excellent. It's a little pricey but is well worth the trip. There is no car park, just along the roadside. Keep that in mind if you can't walk to far.
Amazing pub. Best pub food I have had in a long time. A choice of nice vegan meals is a real treat.. and pudding. Beautiful ❤️
Went here for dinner based on the great reviews and awards. Unfortunately, we didn’t have the best time at the Sheppy. The greeter seemed to dislike us immediately. The food was bland (the risotto tastes of nothing), and the soft drinks were exceptionally bad. The £3.20 a pint off-brand ‘diet cola’ had no taste and was completely flat. I asked for a refund and the response was less than accommodating. It’s clearly a popular place. Despite being a Wednesday night the pub was fairly busy with a good atmosphere. There’s a large wrap-around balcony with plenty of tables overlooking the local nature reserve. On balance I couldn’t recommend it and won’t go back if I’ve ever back in the area.
