Great rooms. Great breakfast buffet. Good service. Charge for extras. No pool chairs. Pool too small. Poor English service. Emily at the concierge and the bell boy staff were the best. Would maybe stay again.

A slightly older hotel with a rich history, but the service is truly top-notch. Located in Jeju, all the on-site restaurants are excellent. While it’s more affordable than The Shilla Seoul, it’s still on the expensive side. The walking trails and swimming pool are standout features. Parking can be a bit limited. There’s a casino, but it’s only open to foreigners. Room interiors feel a bit dated, but cleanliness is outstanding. Housekeeping doesn’t seem to accept tips—personally, I left a thank-you note and some cash on the bed, and only the note was taken.

This hotel was highly rated by many, including travel sites, so our expectations were high, to say the least. Unfortunately, overall, this hotel was subpar. The room and furnishings were slightly dated (i.e., not modern). We had the ocean view, which was beautiful, quiet, and serene in the mornings. However, due to the proximity of the ocean view rooms to the pool area, in the evenings, it is noisier from the nightly live music. The gym was standard and had basic equipment needed for daily workouts. The Parkview brunch buffet offered a variety of options but was very pricey in comparison to other nearby brunch/ cafe options, and none of the food items were anything special. The service in the restaurant was horrible. Not a single attendant came by our table. We were completely ignored. In addition, none of the employees, including the manager, smiled or made eye contact. The swimming pools (indoor/outdoor) were standard. The attendants were very strict on kids under 130cm wearing floatation vests/arm floaties. This seemed a bit excessive for those kids who are decent swimmers and want the freedom to actually swim and not just float around. In addition, they require an adult to actually be in the pool. The only part of our experience that met our expectations was the housekeeping service! They made our rooms daily and offered nighttime service as well! We would only give housekeeping a 5 star. On our future return trip to Jeju, we will NOT be returning to Shilla Jeju.
